How
There are a minimum of 4 spaces, and maximum of 10 spaces available in each group. We keep the groups small, to ensure everyone can speak if they wish, and the intimacy of a small group allows real connection. We do not allow anyone to join mid-way through a 12 week programme as it can change the dynamics of the pre existing group. Each application is screened, to ensure the group resonates with one another, and the safe is held safely.
It is not recommended to have friends or family in your group session. Allow this group to be your own space with new people, who do not already have a bias or pre-existing view of you. Take a step in to a space of like minded women you have never experienced before, and see how your story and traumas unfold safely. If your friends / family wish to join the 12 week programme, they can apply for the next cohort, and gain great therapeutic benefit without impeding on your process.

What is Somatic Therapy? The Soma represents more than our physical structure; it's our inner body, also known as the subtle or energy body. Somatic, in essence, relates to the body in its entirety—both its physical form and its energetic presence. Somatic therapy is the practice of tuning into and feeling our body's current state, allowing us to identify and work through blocked energy that leads to physical symptoms like panic attacks, anxiety, digestive issues, and brain fog. This process involves using specific somatic exercises to help release these blockages, aiming for a state of health and balance.
-
What is Polyvagal Theory? The mind and body are connected through the Vagus nerve, which extends from the brain stem to the colon. This nerve is integral to our parasympathetic nervous system, known as the "Rest and Digest" state. In this state, everything feels calm, life is good, your body is relaxed, and all bodily functions operate as they should. Ideally, we would be in this rest and digest state most of the time, only shifting to the sympathetic nervous system state, or "fight or flight," when in danger. The issue in modern society is that we often remain in "fight or flight" mode, constantly releasing stress hormones, which can lead to numerous illnesses. By identifying where your body is on the Polyvagal scale and understanding which traumas (big or small) have contributed to this state, we can start to address them. Through talking, feeling, and processing these experiences with various techniques, we work to improve Vagal tone. This helps you respond to life's challenges with an appropriate level of stress or relaxation.
-
Can you provide C-PTSD or PTSD treatment?Yes. Our somatic therapy treatments integrate a range of modalities, drawing from both scientific research and traditional healing practices. Together, we'll address and process the underlying trauma symptoms contributing to your PTSD or C-PTSD, aiming for lasting relief and healing.
-
What problems can Somatic exercises help with?In somatic therapy, we embrace the mind-body connection, recognising that your environment and experiences over the years can lead to a wide array of symptoms that might escape conventional medical approaches. Instead of asking "What is wrong with you?" we prefer to understand "What has happened to you?" It's not uncommon to visit a GP with issues that defy easy explanation, often because traditional medicine tends to separate the mind from the body. However, the reality is that they influence each other deeply. So, if you're grappling with chronic illness, autoimmune disorders, depression, anxiety, brain fog, fatigue, numbness, dizzy spells, burnout, or any other condition where a root cause remains elusive — or if you're experiencing a mix of seemingly random symptoms — somatic healing can offer a pathway to understanding what your body is attempting to communicate to your mind.
-
Do I need a therapist? This question isn't easy to answer, as truly, only YOU can determine when you're ready to be heard and supported by a trained therapist. If you find yourself asking this, it might be your mind and body's way of nudging you towards seeking a guide, mentor, or therapist. Whichever title resonates with you, the person who will navigate with you through your current experiences and past traumas, it's important to recognize that seeking support is a natural and brave step. Embracing your mental health and allowing yourself to be vulnerable in seeking help is a profound act of courage. Different therapists provide a variety of modalities to suit you. The Whole Body Therapist incorporates several modalities to allow for the best possible outcome, without narrowing the vision of healing to just one modality. One size does not fit all.
-
Do you work with International Clients?Yes, The Whole Body Therapist welcomes clients from any country. Our somatic therapy services are available globally, with the only requirement being that all sessions are conducted in English. This ensures that you can fully benefit from the quality of care provided. If the booking calendar times don't match your schedule, don't hesitate to get in touch via WhatsApp or email. We will strive to accommodate a time that works best for you.

How does the nervous system affect my mental and physical health? Our body is made up of several systems all cleverly interlinked. The nervous system of our body is integral in all aspects of our physical and mental health. Modern science and healthcare would have you believe that the mind and body are not connected. However, ancient traditions and research in the field of science of the mind-body connection, inform us that a dysregulated nervous system means we stay in survival mode for prolonged periods of time. This in turn causes the release of stress hormones, causing chronic illnesses of the body and mind. When we focus on the nervous system via the polyvagal lens, we are able to regulate it and come back to a balanced, healthy life.
-
What is mind body therapy?Somatic therapy is mind-body therapy. By reconnecting the mind and body, to feel each sensation, and have the ability to interpret the subtle energies of the body, you will no longer supress the emotions trying to be felt. Trauma leads to a disconnection of the mind from the body, along with disconnection from friends, family, community and the environment. Reconnecting the mind and body is one way to start the healing journey for reconnection in all aspects of life. Allowing for you to feel alive again.
-
Is this somatic therapy programme right for me?This space is for you if you’re experiencing persistent nervous system dysregulation, emotional exhaustion, or a sense of disconnection from yourself — and you’re ready to engage deeply with your healing. You may be: Feeling chronically fatigued or burnt out, even after resting Frequently overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally flooded Numb, dissociated, or unable to access your full range of emotion Caught in cycles of people-pleasing, perfectionism, or emotional reactivity Struggling to feel safe in your body or trust your own inner signals Aware that past trauma or survival patterns are still shaping how you live, relate, and create This programme is not for those seeking quick fixes or surface-level support. It’s for those who are willing to show up — gently but consistently — for the work of reclamation, regulation, and embodied transformation. It’s for people who understand that real change takes time, presence, and a readiness to invest in themselves.
-
What can I expect in a 1:1 somatic therapy session? This is not a performance space. It’s not goal-oriented coaching or symptom-chasing therapy. Each weekly 60-minute session is a slow, grounded, co-created space where we follow the intelligence of your body — not an external agenda. Together, we track sensation, emotion, body memory and energetic patterns. I integrate somatic therapy, nervous system regulation, trauma-informed relational repair, and energy-based support. Our work may include: Body tracking and felt-sense awareness Titrated trauma processing and emotional integration Energetic boundary repair and re-patterning Dialogue with inner parts and protective systems Resourcing and co-regulation for nervous system safety The pace is spacious and responsive. The goal is not to be “better,” but to become more whole.
-
I’ve done therapy before — how is this different? Many of my clients have spent years in therapy or personal development spaces but still feel stuck. That’s often because traditional approaches stay in the cognitive realm — where understanding doesn’t always lead to embodied change. In The Deep Unravelling, we work somatically and energetically. That means the healing doesn’t just live in your mind — it happens through your nervous system, your body memory, and your relational field. This is slow, sacred work that goes beneath story into the root patterns. If you're ready for therapy that doesn't talk about the wound but actually moves it, this is for you.
-
Do I need prior experience with trauma or somatic work?No experience is required — but readiness is essential. You don’t need to have all the language or tools. What you do need is a willingness to engage, to stay curious, and to meet yourself with compassion even when it’s hard. This is a space for those who are committed to their inner work — who understand that depth healing takes time, consistency, and care.
-
What’s included in the 9-month mentorship? You’ll receive: 3 Monthly 60-minute 1:1 sessions via Zoom (somatic + energetic work) Personalised somatic rituals and nervous system tools A held arc of transformation — intuitive, gentle, and layered A trauma-informed, energetically attuned relationship that honours your pace This isn’t a pre-packaged programme. It’s a sacred, evolving mentorship rooted in real relationship — with me, and with your body.
-
Can I work with you if I’m in therapy or taking medication? If you are currently in therapy with another practitioner, this 9-month programme may not be the right fit at this time. Working deeply at a somatic and energetic level alongside another therapeutic process can sometimes create confusion or cross-signals in your system — especially if the approaches are not aligned. For your safety and clarity, I only work with clients who are not engaged in other therapeutic relationships during our time together. If you are taking prescribed medication, that is absolutely welcome. This space honours integrative healing and works well alongside medical or psychiatric support. If you're unsure whether this applies to you, feel free to reach out and we can explore it together.
-
Who is this work really for? This container is for individuals who are already deeply self-aware, often successful, and tired of carrying the weight of high-functioning alone. You’ve likely done therapy, coaching, or spiritual work — and yet something still feels stuck in your body. You’re not looking for surface-level soothing. You’re ready for rooted, embodied transformation.
-
Is this a form of traditional therapy? No. While this work is grounded in clinical experience, it is not a traditional therapy model. It’s a private, trauma-informed somatic immersion rooted in nervous system science, emotional attunement, and sacred presence. You are not being treated — you are being met.
-
What if I’ve done years of therapy already?Perfect. Many who enter this space have done extensive inner work. This isn’t a repetition — it’s a deepening. We’re not revisiting your stories. We’re shifting how your body holds them.
-
Why 9 months? Can I join for less time? No. Depth takes time. This container is designed to gently rewire long-held survival patterns — not override them. Shorter containers can replicate urgency. This is about trust, rhythm, and lasting change.
-
What kind of contact do I get between sessions? You’ll receive access to voice/text support — not as constant messaging, but for relevant integration moments. You are not alone between sessions, but you are also not outsourcing your regulation. This is a space for sovereignty, not emotional dependency.
-
What if I don’t feel ready? Then wait. This space asks for your full yes — emotionally, energetically, financially. If it’s not a yes, that’s sacred information too.
-
How do I apply?Start with a 30-minute Connection Call — a conversation to feel into alignment, answer your questions, and ensure this container is the right fit for us both.
