Recognizing that the body, not just the brain, stores traumatic experiences enables targeted therapy that addresses both physical and mental health impacts. This approach aids in alleviating the ongoing effects of trauma.
It’s dedicated to individuals ready to heal from both old and new emotional wounds, including those suffering from Complex PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, Chronic Illness, Chronic Pain, Brain Fog, Burnout, and more.
Trauma Processing therapy incorporates somatic therapy, parts therapy, tapping therapy, talking therapy and other modalities. Processing traumas will require the client to engage in the therapy, when in session and when out of the consultation.

The mind and body are connected through the Vagus nerve, which extends from the brain stem to the colon. This nerve is integral to our parasympathetic nervous system, known as the "Rest and Digest" state. In this state, everything feels calm, life is good, your body is relaxed, and all bodily functions operate as they should. Ideally, we would be in this rest and digest state most of the time, only shifting to the sympathetic nervous system state, or "fight or flight," when in danger.
The issue in modern society is that we often remain in "fight or flight" mode, constantly releasing stress hormones, which can lead to numerous illnesses. By identifying where your body is on the Polyvagal scale and understanding which traumas (big or small) have contributed to this state, we can start to address them. Through talking, feeling, and processing these experiences with various techniques, we work to improve Vagal tone. This helps you respond to life's challenges with an appropriate level of stress or relaxation.
The Soma represents more than our physical structure; it's our inner body, also known as the subtle or energy body. Somatic, in essence, relates to the body in its entirety—both its physical form and its energetic presence. Somatic therapy is the practice of tuning into and feeling our body's current state, allowing us to identify and work through blocked energy that leads to physical symptoms like panic attacks, anxiety, digestive issues, and brain fog. This process involves using specific somatic exercises to help release these blockages, aiming for a state of health and balance.
Yes. Our somatic therapy treatments integrate a range of modalities, drawing from both scientific research and traditional healing practices. Together, we'll address and process the underlying trauma symptoms contributing to your PTSD or C-PTSD, aiming for lasting relief and healing.
In somatic therapy, we embrace the mind-body connection, recognising that your environment and experiences over the years can lead to a wide array of symptoms that might escape conventional medical approaches. Instead of asking "What is wrong with you?" we prefer to understand "What has happened to you?" It's not uncommon to visit a GP with issues that defy easy explanation, often because traditional medicine tends to separate the mind from the body. However, the reality is that they influence each other deeply.
So, if you're grappling with chronic illness, autoimmune disorders, depression, anxiety, brain fog, fatigue, numbness, dizzy spells, burnout, or any other condition where a root cause remains elusive — or if you're experiencing a mix of seemingly random symptoms — somatic healing can offer a pathway to understanding what your body is attempting to communicate to your mind.
This question isn't easy to answer, as truly, only YOU can determine when you're ready to be heard and supported by a trained therapist. If you find yourself asking this, it might be your mind and body's way of nudging you towards seeking a guide, mentor, or therapist. Whichever title resonates with you, the person who will navigate with you through your current experiences and past traumas, it's important to recognize that seeking support is a natural and brave step. Embracing your mental health and allowing yourself to be vulnerable in seeking help is a profound act of courage.
Different therapists provide a variety of modalities to suit you. The Whole Body Therapist incorporates several modalities to allow for the best possible outcome, without narrowing the vision of healing to just one modality. One size does not fit all.
Our body is made up of several systems all cleverly interlinked. The nervous system of our body is integral in all aspects of our physical and mental health.
Modern science and healthcare would have you believe that the mind and body are not connected. However, ancient traditions and research in the field of science of the mind-body connection, inform us that a dysregulated nervous system means we stay in survival mode for prolonged periods of time. This in turn causes the release of stress hormones, causing chronic illnesses of the body and mind. When we focus on the nervous system via the polyvagal lens, we are able to regulate it and come back to a balanced, healthy life.
Expect a combination of discussion, body awareness exercises, and activities designed to release stored trauma and promote healing. The environment is supportive, non-judgemental and always trauma informed.
You will all have an opportunity to ask questions via the chat function. But it is never enforced. Please feel free to share and listen as your body allows.
Yes. Combining somatic therapy in group settings along with a range of modalities, drawing from both scientific research and traditional healing practices can be beneficial for those suffering from complex-PTSD and PTSD. Together, we'll uncover work to regulate the nervous system bringing it back to a calm balance. Somatic Practices and nervous system regulation will require engagement in and out of the group settings. So be prepared to put the short practices in your day as they are taught to you.
If you require further in depth 1-2-1 therapy to help work through specific traumas, you may find it beneficial to speak with Jaspreet, for further somatic therapy on an individual basis.
Somatic therapy can help address a range of issues, including chronic stress, anxiety, trauma, and illness by focusing on the mind-body connection and aiming for holistic well-being & nervous system regulation.
In somatic therapy, the aim is not to supress emotions or feelings, but rather to meet them, shine a light on their origin and process them so that they do not stay stuck in your nervous system and body, causing longer term unwanted patterns or illness.
Sometimes it is difficult to uncover the traumas which we have learnt to shield so well, and listening to other women who may have similar experiences can shine a light on those we need to address for deeper healing
Whole Body Therapist, founded by Jaspreet Randhawa, emphasizes a trauma-informed care model that recognizes the cultural and individual uniqueness of each client, including those from South Asian & MENA backgrounds, ensuring a safe and understanding therapeutic environment.

There will be some weeks dedicated to intentional integration. These are spacious periods built into the membership to allow your system to absorb and embody the work. This space is specifically designed for South Asian and MENA women who were raised and socialised as girls within their cultural communities. The somatic therapy offered here is rooted in the lived experiences of womanhood shaped by cultural, intergenerational, and familial conditioning unique to being assigned female at birth in South Asian and MENA households.
While we hold deep respect for all gender identities, this particular space is not open to individuals who were assigned male at birth, including trans women, as the content and practices are centred around the specific emotional and nervous system imprints of female socialisation in these cultures.
We understand this may feel disappointing to some, and we acknowledge the importance of inclusive healing spaces. This boundary is not about exclusion, but about creating a highly focused, culturally grounded container of care.
