Therapy offered by:
Ami Robertson
Trauma-Informed Somatic Therapist & Movement Facilitator
ADHD, Autism & Neurodivergence Therapy
Neurodivergent-affirming therapy for ADHD, autism and neurodivergence, supporting overwhelm, masking, skill regression, identity and nervous system resourcing.
Who Its For
Autistic people, people with ADHD and other neurodivergent individuals; those navigating overwhelm, masking, sensory needs, identity or feeling misunderstood by more traditional approaches to therapy.
What To Expect
Sessions provide neurodivergent affirming therapy, integrating somatic and movement based approaches alongside talking therapy, and adapting to how you process and experience the world. This can be especially supportive for those who have tried less relational forms of therapy and know they need something slower, deeper and more embodied.
Ami works with people who are curious about themselves, aware of the wider world and seeking support to meet themselves and their lives with greater honesty, care and connection.
Sessions with Ami go beyond talking and insight alone. Their neurodivergent affirming, trauma informed approach brings together talking therapy, somatic therapy and movement based practices, creating space to explore what is happening not only in your thoughts, but within your body and nervous system too.
Rather than following a rigid therapeutic model, Ami works relationally and collaboratively, adapting sessions to your communication style, sensory needs and the way you experience and process the world. Together, you may explore emotions, body sensations, breath, movement and nervous system responses, alongside the experiences and patterns shaping your life.
This can be particularly supportive if you have tried more traditional or less relational forms of therapy, understand your patterns intellectually, but still feel stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected or unable to create lasting change.
The work moves at your pace. Over time, Ami supports you to develop greater nervous system regulation, self understanding and capacity for emotion, while building a deeper and more compassionate relationship with yourself and your body.

I came to Ami at a very difficult time in my life, in the midst of grief. I was desperate for a language to be able to describe and understand what I was experiencing and with time I could reflect on how normal it was. What I came to realise, with Ami's guidance, was the different kinds of grief I was living through and how this was showing up in my body.
