Therapy That Meets You Exactly Where You Are
Ami supports people who have often spent years feeling misunderstood, overlooked or expected to fit into systems that were never designed with them in mind.
Whether you're navigating ADHD, autism, neurodivergence, chronic illness, identity, sensory overwhelm or significant life transitions, therapy offers a space where you don't need to mask, explain or become someone different.
Their approach is rooted in curiosity, compassion and the belief that healing begins when we learn to work with our nervous system rather than against it.
Authenticity Is at the Heart of Healing
Ami believes therapy should never ask you to become someone you're not. Instead, sessions focus on creating enough safety for you to reconnect with your own body, emotions and experiences in a way that feels empowering rather than overwhelming.
Drawing on lived experience alongside professional training, Ami offers a therapeutic relationship grounded in acceptance, collaboration and genuine understanding.
Areas of Expertise
Who I Work With
Ami works with autistic adults, people with ADHD, neurodivergence, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, individuals living with chronic illness, autoimmune conditions, fibromyalgia, persistent fatigue, sensory overwhelm and anyone looking for a more compassionate, body-led approach to healing.
Supporting You Without Asking You to Mask
Many neurodivergent adults spend years adapting themselves to meet other people's expectations, often at the expense of their own wellbeing. Therapy provides an opportunity to explore life without constant masking, helping you better understand your nervous system, reduce overwhelm and develop ways of living that feel more authentic and sustainable.
What Therapy with Ami Looks Like
Sessions with Ami go beyond talking and insight alone. Their trauma informed approach brings together talking therapy, somatic therapy, movement based practices and nervous system awareness, creating space to explore not only what has happened in your life, but how those experiences may continue to live within your body, emotions and relationships.
Ami works relationally and collaboratively rather than following a rigid therapeutic model. Sessions are shaped around you and may involve conversation, body sensations, breath, movement, emotion and nervous system responses, always working at a pace that feels manageable and meaningful. This can be particularly supportive if you have tried more traditional or less relational forms of therapy, understand your patterns intellectually, but still feel stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected or unable to create lasting change.
Ami brings an affirming understanding of neurodivergence, LGBTQIA+ identities, chronic illness and disability into their wider therapeutic practice. The work supports greater nervous system regulation, self understanding and emotional capacity, helping you develop a more connected and compassionate relationship with yourself, your body and the way you move through the world.

Your first appointment is an opportunity to understand your story, your goals and how your nervous system has adapted over time. Together you'll create a therapeutic plan that feels safe, realistic and entirely centred around your needs. There is no pressure to share more than you're comfortable with, and sessions always progress at a pace that feels right for you.

"It has been such a journey to experience somatic therapy, and with Ami's support and insight I feel so much more connected to myself, others and the earth. The space is helping me to understand the things I truly want and need and helping me to take the steps to reach them. I am grateful to them for the transformative space we've held together and look forward to what will come in the future."

Testimony 3
"During our sessions I have been learning "how to be a body" and since I heard them describe somatic therapy in this way I have reflected on how we all need this in our lives and how severed we are from what we feel."

Testimony 2
"I came to Ami at a very difficult time in my life, in the midst of grief. I was desperate for a language to be able to describe and understand what I was experiencing and with time I could reflect on how normal it was. What I came to realise, with Ami's guidance, was the different kinds of grief I was living through and how this was showing up in my body."
