Therapy offered by:

Tanya Forgan

Trauma-Informed Somatic Therapist & Embodiment Practitioner

Grief, Bereavement & Loss Therapy

Grief and bereavement therapy supporting people through loss, relationship endings, complex grief and major life transitions.

Who Its For

People experiencing bereavement, anticipatory grief or complex grief; those processing relationship breakdown, infertility, menopause, career change or other significant forms of loss.

What To Expect

Grief is not something to fix, rush or simply “move on” from. It can live in the body as sadness, numbness, exhaustion, anger, anxiety or a sense that something within you has fundamentally changed.

Tanya brings together grief and bereavement therapy, trauma informed somatic therapy, nervous system awareness and embodiment practices, creating space to gently meet what you are carrying at your own pace.

Rather than analysing grief from a distance, sessions help you listen to what is happening within your body, emotions and nervous system. With warmth and deep presence, Tanya supports you to honour what has been lost, soften protective patterns and gradually reconnect with yourself, your relationships and life beyond loss.

With over 30 years of experience holding transformational spaces, Tanya brings a depth of presence that allows therapy to move beyond simply understanding your story. Her work is particularly suited to those navigating grief, identity, belonging, menopause, relationships and significant life transitions.

Tanya’s approach weaves trauma informed somatic therapy, embodiment, nervous system awareness and grief work with the healing potential of relationship. There is space for what life does not always make room for: grief alongside joy, vulnerability alongside strength, and rest alongside the pressure to keep going.

As a mixed race woman who grew up between cultures, Tanya also brings a deeply personal understanding of identity and belonging, and of what it can mean to find your place within yourself, your relationships and the wider world.

Sessions are not about fixing you or becoming someone new. They offer a space to explore what lies beneath years of expectation, protection and survival, reconnect with your body and discover a more honest and authentic way of being in your life.

I came to Tanya while moving through the end of a 16-year relationship and a painful, messy rupture. I was beginning to realise that I had been repeating the same relational patterns, and I was carrying a great deal of grief that I wanted to allow to move through me in a held and supported way. With Tanya’s guidance, I was able to soften and surrender to the experience, to feel and accept all that was present. She shared somatic tools and practices that helped me move emotions that had felt stuck, while her insightful questions gently shifted my perspective and empowered me to see both myself and my experience differently. I came away with a deeper trust in myself and in my capacity to navigate the inevitable contractions of life.
